What I Learned at 18th and Broadway

A wise woman once told me, 'You can't win big if you aren't willing to take BIG risks.'

I want to be a win big and my guess is that you do, too.

Recently, there was a point in my life where I found myself at a crossroads of unhappy and happy. I decided to take a right (literally, on Broadway) and head towards my own happy.

Look into the life of any of the world's greatest female risk takers... Rosa Parks, Coco Chanel, Ellen Degeneres, Mother Theresa, Sheryl Sandberg, Michelle Obama, Caitlyn Jenner. What do they all have in common? They took aggressive risks.

Aggressive risk taking will always take you further in life.

We all have to take risks, in order to get ahead. I urge, before you take a risk,  to look inward. Let's do an exercise...  take a deep breathe and close your eyes. Envision your dream life...

• What is making you happy?
• Where are you living?
• How are you making me money?
• What type of people are in your life?

If that's the life you want - you can have it! The question simply becomes... are you willing to do what it takes to achieve the life you've always wanted?

My journey towards happy took me six months to muster up the courage to take a leap of faith and turn my dreams into reality.

As I walked through the heart of New York City, my eyes and ears were not romanced by her promise of greatness. But rather, I was liberated of my autonomy; freed by my own spirit.

Three days later, I quit my corporate job.

I don't know what the future holds but I do know it will be full of risks, twists, turns and surprises beyond my wildest dreams.

Do you want to take control of your future? Build your own path? Create a new you?

Then I encourage you to ask yourself what's holding you back from fulfilling your life's purpose and fulfilling your dreams.

Take back your own happy, today. You can be as happy as you want to be!
